Third dive back at the Karlsruhe and we definitely found it again - two out of three times! (",)

This was a surprise dive as the MV Karin had problems yesterday and we thought we had done our last dive.  An engineer came to look at the engine, presumed gearbox problem, sorted it out and the captain was keen to test how it sailed..  We were given the option of doing another dive and most were keen.

The Endeavour was a trawler which sank in 1918 near Kirkwall.  The tides were really very strong and a number of divers really struggled to find the wreck.  We stayed really low having carefully followed the shot line down.  We spotted the wreck to our left and quickly made our way over.  We did three circles of the wreckIt now lies at 27m.

Not a great start to the trip! We got a wee bit lost going down the shot line and didn't find the wreck.
Ended up swimming around in circles for a while but didn't manage to see it.
Found a big chain just as we were about to surface and followed it but there was nothing at the end.

The Karlsruhe is used as a 'warm-up' dive as its depth is between 14-27m.  It's also not very far from Stromness and located close to the island of Cava, at its northwesterly tip.  In the map above, it is located at position 5.

Didn't find it today but would find it later on in the trip.
